CCL has been in the HVAC industry since 1966 and over the years has built an engineering team that is professional, efficient and one that delivers.
The Engineering team comprises of a Manager, qualified engineers, project managers, office managers and an administrative assistant. The duct shop also falls under this department’s operations. Therefore CCL’s engineering team is capable of managing the entire job through its own resources, which ensures that the customer is satisfied.
Our Company has pioneered the introduction of Natural Gas Cooling Technology in Trinidad with the installation of the largest Natural Gas Fired Absorption Chiller at the Maritime Plaza in 1997. has a capacity of 400 Tons of air conditioning. CCL has also supplied and installed the single largest Natural Gas Fired Absorption Chiller in the island at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex with a capacity of 1.000 Tons. Several smaller units of similar nature (of capacity 5 tons and over) have also been installed in the island.
In addition, we have also pioneered the Digital Energy Management Technology, Johnson Controls and Delta Controls through Building Management Systems supplied throughout several buildings in Trinidad, Guyana, Barbados, Puerto Rico and Columbia. use of this Digital Control System allows monitoring of Air Conditioning and other building equipment such as elevators, generators, pumps, fans etc. from a central location in the building or a remote location, through any available telephone line.This means that maintenance checks can be made without having someone visit the site and preventative maintenance alarms can be generated in advance of system breakdown.
We have engineered heat reclaiming systems through the use of waste heat from air-conditioning condensing Units.This permits free Hot Water to buildings such as Hotels and Restaurants.can be economically engineered for systems over 3 tons.
Climate Control Limited (C.C.L.) owns an in-house Duct Shop and provides Duct Cleaning and in-house Duct Fabrication services since March 2006 as a part of our Engineering department. This feature is run and managed by highly skilled, knowledgeable and competent staff which is headed by one (1) master fabricator and six (6) sub-ordinates.
Duct is an abbreviated term used to describe ventilation and air-conditioning distribution system. The function of ducting is to transport, to distribute the conditioned, re-circulated, outdoor and exhaust air according to requirements. Duct Fabrication is the mechanical manufacturing of ventilation and air-conditioning ducts as per design specifications.
The purpose of a duct is to act as a conduit or pipe to allow air flow to circulate from one point in a building (source) to another point where it is either exhausted or discharged. Duct Cleaning is the maintenance of the ventilation and air-conditioning ducts by means of the periodical removal of dust and other contaminants in the ducting (e.g. loose insulation materials or organic matters) by means of vacuuming and the application of sanitizing detergents.
The length of time for completion of Duct Cleaning would depend on the following factors:
The size of the system
Accessibility to the diffusers
Note: The approximated process should take two (2) days for a system up to 40 tons.
The Benefits of Duct Cleaning are:
It reduces the possibility of sick building syndrome;
It diminishes unpleasant odours that may be developed over a period of time;
It allows for the inspection of the ducting to check for areas where leakages occur
